New Brand Identity Project - Client Questionnaire

If you have a project you’d like me to provide costs for, please answer the questions below.

Your responses will provide a good overview of your brand project and enable me to put together an informed quote for the work required.

It’s useful if you can provide as much detail as possible, but don’t worry too much if there are a few things you’re not sure about - we can always discuss the finer points later!

1. What is the new brand or logo for?

A business/organisation or a particular product or offering?

2. Client Profile

Roughly what size is your organisation… small business, global enterprise... or somewhere in between? (A link to the existing company website would be useful too, if there is one...)

3. Main selling points?

Define the things that set you apart from your competitors and/or other similar businesses, products or services.

4. Who can use the products or services you offer?

Provide an overview of your existing clients/customers and any potential new ones you are hoping to attract?

5. Area of Use

Will the brand be used solely in the UK or could it be used elsewhere in the world?

6. Potential Life

How long do you envisage using the new brand?

7. How would you like your business/offering to be perceived?

This could simply be a list of words which describe the general look and feel you would like to achieve.

8. Where will your branding be used?

This could be, for example… on business cards, printed marketing materials, website, social media... but do you have any other requirements? For instance, are there any other particular applications which should be considered – such as a specific shape signage or product packaging?

9. Deliverables

Do you have a list of things you will definitely need? Don't worry if you're not sure about this yet - We can discuss it or I can advise on what you should have.

10. Style - Is there any of my previous work you particularly like?

Your new brand will be created specifically with your business in mind…but it would be useful to know if you have any particular preferences. Please have a look at some of the projects on my website and list any you think may be relevant.

11. Dislikes?

Anything you definitely don’t like in design terms? Such as an aversion to a particular colour or type style...?

12. Existing Materials

Do you have an existing logo, brand or style guide? If so, please could I see these, and what do you like/dislike about it?

Do you have any kind of figure in mind?

14. Timescale

Are there any deadlines I should be aware of?
