PROJECT: AINSLEY’S CARIBBEAN KITCHEN
CLIENT: SMITH & GILMOUR / PENGUIN RANDOM HOUSE
Smith and Gilmour commissioned me to create a map for the cookery book they were designing to accompany Ainsley Harriott’s TV series Ainsley’s Caribbean Kitchen. The book is published by Ebury Press (which is an imprint of Penguin Random House) and is available here.
OBJECTIVE
To produce an illustrated map of the Caribbean, highlighting the islands visited by Ainsley in the series and key Caribbean ingredients. The map is for the endpapers of the book.
Initial sketch for client approval. There were a few changes of ingredients which I altered at the artwork stage
Spotted the book out in the wild (in Waterstones)… always nice to see completed illustrations in actual print!
