Your Personal Data
What do I need?
I will only ever ask you for basic personal information. This will include your name, email address, telephone number and sometimes your postal address.
Why do I need it?
I need to know this basic information so that I can provide the illustration services you have requested from me, and so that I can contact you in relation to the project we are discussing or working on.
Your name and email address are also needed if you’d like to be included on my mailing list.
What do I do with it?
Your basic personal data is held by me on my own computer system and on servers connected with my trusted online accounting and/or marketing software.
Your details will never be sold or passed on to any third parties, unless I am required to do so by law.
How long do I keep it for?
I will retain your personal information indefinitely, whilst I am operating as Carys-ink. If you’ve contacted me or if we’ve worked together, I’d like to keep in touch for future opportunities to collaborate. In the event of ceasing trading as Carys-ink, all personal information held will be destroyed.
For marketing purposes, and specifically for sending out my newsletter, I will retain your information unless you unsubscribe, or specifically ask to be removed from my mailing list. You are free to unsubscribe at any time.
Your Rights
You have the right to ask me for copies of the personal data I hold about you.
You have the right to ask me to correct any of your personal data if it’s inaccurate or incomplete, or to ask me to delete it.
You have the right to ask me to limit how I use your personal data.

The information I have will have come directly from you.
Who do I share your information with?
I will never share your personal information with any third party companies or individuals.
If we’ve worked together, I would share the completed project on my website, social media, newsletter and via any other appropriate marketing channels, unless you specifically ask me not to, or there is a confidentiality agreement in place.
In sharing project case studies, I would typically include the name of your company/organisation, and possibly your name as the client. If you’d rather I didn’t do this, please just let me know.
I will ask before sharing any testimonials on my website, as these would usually be accompanied by your name.
How to complain
If you have any concerns about my use of your personal data, you can make a complaint directly to me, using the contact details at the top of this privacy notice.
If you remain unhappy with how I’ve used your data after raising a complaint, you can also complain to the ICO.
