Vision
To help equip teenagers with all the things they need to cope with and enjoy the big and changing world they're going into
The Sea Cadet is a magazine for cadets, parents and volunteers.
‘The Sea Cadets Guide to…’ is an illustrated full page feature in each quarterly edition of the magazine.
I’ve been commissioned to create a number of these ‘cut out and keep’ guides over recent years – they’re always themed around something useful for the teenage cadets, often relating to health, personal development or the world we live in.
I enjoy these stand-alone commissions, and create them in slightly different ways, using different processes depending on the content. There’s generally a hand-drawn or organic feel which helps the artwork feel friendly and engaging for the young adults.
For the more recent ones, elements from each full page illustration have been saved out separately for use on a website version of the magazine
